AUDITION NOTICE: The Truth
WT is committed to being a diverse and open organisation. Auditions are open to anyone, regardless of background or experience, and we particularly welcome those who have been traditionally under-represented in theatre.
Premiered in London in 2016, this is a brilliantly cruel comedy, and an unsettling tale of infidelity.
Two couples. Friendship, suspicion, deceit… and the truth. Michel and his wife Laurence are happily married. Michel’s best friend Paul is also happily married, to Alice. But Michel and Alice are having an affair, and Laurence seems to know that something’s going on. How far will Michel go to hide the truth? Why is Alice so keen to reveal it? What does Laurence actually know, or not know? And is Paul just pretending to be bad at tennis?
Through the eyes of the two couples, this biting comedy explores friendship, suspicion, deceit and, ultimately, The Truth.
As the deceits intertwine, the two couples find them selves lost in a maze of who-told-who-what, with each loving lie more necessary and each confession more indiscreet.
All roles are for actors with a playing age of late 40s / 50s.

Show Information & Auditions
Auditions are on Sunday August 11th 11.00am – 12.30pm & Monday August 12th – 7.45pm
Show dates are January 22nd – February 1st 2025 with rehearsals starting in November.
If you would like to audition let me know and I can forward the audition pieces. All the scenes are dualogues with Michel.
Also if you are unable to make these dates, and would like to audition, let me know so an alternative time can be arranged.
