Wokingham Youth Theatre is a vibrant and dynamic learning and performance space. We are fortunate to be part of Wokingham Theatre, which is a thriving community theatre and the Youth Theatre benefits from being able to teach our students in a working theatre environment.

WYT promotes a sense of self-confidence, responsibility and respect. We seek to equip young people with theatre skills in a structured and highly motivated environment. The Youth Theatre is comprised of young people from diverse backgrounds. We offer a supportive environment based on mutual respect and understanding.

We admit new students at the beginning of each term. We will invite potential new students to join us for a trial class. Following the trial class, we will discuss with you the suitability of your child to join the group.

Fees

Our programme of classes is based on three terms per year of 11 sessions each during term time. Fees are currently £110 per term (as of 1st January 2025). Fees are due before the end of the first week of term.

Our groups are split based on school year group for children aged 7 to 17, as below.

Inters	Wednesday 5.30pm – 7.30pm Thursday 5.30pm – 7.30pm	Year 7 – Year 9 inclusive
Seniors	Monday 5.30pm – 7.30pm Tuesday 5.30pm – 7.30pm	Year 10 – Year 12 inclusive
