AUDITION NOTICE: Home I’m Darling
WT is committed to being a diverse and open organisation. Auditions are open to anyone, regardless of background or experience, and we particularly welcome those who have been traditionally under-represented in theatre.
IJudy and Johnny are trying to turn their backs on modern day life and live by the values and behaviour of the 1950s. The play explores the gender roles of both eras and the impact of trying to live this pretend lifestyle on relationships, work and happiness.
The play won the Olivier award as best comedy in 2019 and is a nuanced examination about some of the lies we tell ourselves about the past being better.

The two couples will have to do some jive dancing-lessons will be provided! Johnny is the least proficient and Marcus is quite a twinkle toes. I would like some of the scene changes to be choreographed to rock and roll music with Fran and Marcus sometimes involved.
